Displaying Thumbnail For FLV Files

FLV is video file type that most widely used by video sites on the internet like Youtube, MetaCafe, Daily Motion, etc.. When you download some videos from these sites, the video file is usually in the form of FLV files. By default, Windows Explorer can not display FLV file thumbnails and sometimes be ‘difficult’ to know the contents of your video collection. Especially if you have a pretty much collection of FLV files.

With a little brain-tweaking the registry you can display the FLV thumbnails. How, copy text below to notepad or other text editor name it “FLV Thumbnails” and save it in the form of reg extension file (*. reg). Double click the file.

REGEDIT4[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.flv\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]@="{c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590}"
